Learn the basics of hardware and software synthesis and sampling, sound design, and creating sampler instruments with Logic, Ableton, or Kontakt. Also, if you have a synthesizer you’d like to deepen your knowledge of, we can deep dive into synthesis on a specific instrument.

Basic, intermediate, and advanced western music theory, focusing on practical application with modern music. We work with the intention of simplifying complex ideas and connect these ideas with familiar music, so that it becomes easy and useful. Music lessons on an instrument will include some of this, but I am happy to hone in on demystifying music theory as a standalone focus.

Perhaps the most niche subject on this list, for keyboard players and electronic musicians, MIDI can seem intimidating and impenetrable at first glance.

MIDI is arguably the most powerful tool at a musician’s disposal, and it can be understood and wielded effectively without undertaking a monumental effort.
